Hey my name is Dutch, I’m originally born & raised in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) coming from a Dutch/Turkish background. I’ve started barbering back end of 2018 taking inspiration from social media watching & learning the tips & tricks in the barbering industry. I’d always be reaching out to people to ask questions & gain more knowledge on the different styles & ways of cutting hair. Having to gone to a lot of seminars to learn from the industries best barbers, I transitioned that into my own way of cutting & styling, putting all the skills I’ve learned into my own style.
Starting from a hairdressing industry being very familiar with scissors, Dutch has worked in Manchester City centre for the majority of his barbering career which makes him stand out as he brings that “Manchester city centre” barber charisma. The foundations for myself would be that the finer details in a haircut, communication, client retention & that relationship that you have with clients which is the most important thing in the barbering industry as it’s not just about a haircut. Dutch believes that it’s more important that the client has a good experience & the service is 10/10. This is why jefes is a perfect place for myself because the customers are not just “customers” but we build more of a “family” and everyone is always welcomed with two arms which is what is very important.
